Cheers Ray. I always look forward to this newsletter (and your appearances in the KFS newsletter). I can't even find most of the whiskeys you review up here (Canada is a lovely place, but it's not a bourbon paradise. Hoping to try a few in Nashville next month). But I love your writing and the clear passion you have for your subjects. Be well.
Thanks Craig. Where in Canada? I might to be able steer you to the right place. You should be able to find a lot in Nashville. If you have questions about any bourbon you see feel free to get in touch. Safe travels!!
I'm in Edmonton. We have one store with a decent (for Canada) selection of bourbon. But I'm on the other end of town and don't get there much. My local wine shop gets a few different bottles at times, the benefit of the boss loving bourbon and leveraging his wine purchases to get introduced to the right people but its only a dozen bottles or so.
I appreciate the offer! I'm hoping to bring back a couple of bottles so I'll be in touch regarding my choices. No point in bringing back something that's going to be a Makers Mark equivalent. That's a fine whiskey, but I can get that any day.
I don't like Ryes but that last review might make me go against type
Dude, I don’t like ryes either but this one is the ………. Well, it’s damn good
That's an even higher endorsement, I'll see if I can get my hands on it
which one?
Ok. Let me know when you’re going and when you plan to go bourbon shopping so I can sure to look for your comment/email
